Right? Like, threatening to leave an entire building of people locked out of their workplace (I was the only one who would be there that day with a key to get in) AND threatening to kick out your daughter and her husband when you know that they aren't financially fit just because someone used a word you don't understand!? Pretty sure that suits financial abuse.

On top of that, the whole time he's complaining about how I should RESPECT him for being my father, etc., etc.
I am not going to respect someone who doesn't know the difference between "respect" and "fear."

I wrenched my shoulder. Right now, it hurts pretty badly, but hopefully it'll get better quickly.

My cousin can be a bit difficult at times, and was pushing me to get my stuff out of the hallway. I recently switched rooms with my aunt so that my cousin's baby can have more room to move around. So, almost all of my stuff kind of got crammed into a room about half the size of what I was in. I don't mind this. I don't need a lot of room. Unfortunately, as I tried to get my room set up, I was putting a shelf in and wrenched my left shoulder.

And I do wish your brother was somewhere else. I haven't done inconsiderate things like that since I was 13 or so.

Still, trolling is trolling. :( I guess you can ask the owner to combat them with positive press?

Are some things true? Yes. The bar did need to get it's shit together in some aspects, and the waiters DID need to work on their attitude.

However, a lot of it was bullshit.

"The food is terrible. A classic dish is "burning bits" and it is inedible."
*Burning Bits is a dish that requires you to sign a waiver because it is chicken drowned in hot sauce. It's the Piratz "crazy dish." An actual classic dish is "Steak on a Stone," which is a filet minion (or some other good cut--I've seen it, but don't order it because it is pricey) cooked until your desired temperature, then served on a hot stone with three different sauces.

"There are corporate buildings EVERYWHERE, and should be used to draw in a lunch crowd!"
Image
Great corporate buildings there. You want the nearest corporate building? Here you go:
Image
I'm sure the people who work there (Discovery Channel) are dying for a bland bar with expensive food covered with demotivational posters.

"We brought in a new chef!"
*Wrong. They hired him months ago. But you're right about one thing--he's pretty good!

"They are still living in her parents basement."
*Nope. Bought a house.

***EDIT
Almost forgot:

"A nearly empty bar with an empty patio."
*Granted, I don't know what day they went to do the shoot, but it was in the middle of February, so of COURSE the patio was empty! No one likes to eat outside in winter in MARYLAND!

***END EDIT

When they had the opening night full of people, they were actually recruited. People who loved the bar previously tried to attend and were actually sent away--they were not allowed admission because they didn't want anyone saying anything bad.

It was pretty awful.

Reality TV makes me want to vomit.

Of course, reality in general makes me want to vomit right now. Can I sign off from the world until two years after the election? My facebook is getting covered with garbage from both sides.

Sounds kinda like Gordon Ramsay, but for bars. (I fancy that man like burning, but I don't trust his reviews of all the restaurants he helped.)

So...I seem to have picked up a browser hijack that slipped through multiple security programs. So to eliminate it I had to raze Windows to the ground, and start again.

Reinstalling things is a pain. Especially because...

Hello, SP1, I haven't seen you in a long time! Most of the programs I have don't work with you, you say? Including automatic updates? Fancy that. 2 days to manually download SP3, you say? Interesting.

*sigh*
Can you hear me boy? Your devil is here!

People cannot flipping talk to each other. Because the guy in charge of a radio I do some side work for didn't talk to a content maker, the content maker thought we were stealing his intellectual property. However, because he didn't talk to the guy in charge to correct a misunderstanding, the radio now has bad press due to the content maker slandering us on three separate pages. Wtf.

Arte : Here's hoping you'll get better soon. :( With all that's happening there, that's definitely extra uncomfy. D:

Lady Obvs : Having guilt is understandable; and I'm sure you mean well. *hugs*

However, if I may harsh talk you on this: 1) He has to make his own decisions as well. If he -knows- he is not able to keep a job AND he keeps messing up, it's not your fault. 2) Neither of his reasons justifies him being a jerk to you and your family. Also, Your guilt doesn't nor shouldn't translate to not (wanting / being able to) do anything about it. Fight about it if you can. :| And; 3) beware of (indirectly) enabling him. By not saying anything, you -might- send an indirect message that 'hey, do anything!' and that might do both of you worse in the long run.
I'm telling you to, basically, consider doing something if it bothers you. *hugs*

CJ : .......So basically those are trolls giving reviews based NOT on experience. >_>; I don't get why actual fans of the bar were sent away-- but on the other hand, from a televised standpoint I can see why... Add a pragmatic standpoint of 'well, we just had the entire bar rehauled and renovated, things MIGHT not work as well as usual. If we invite old fans here, we might have a dash of "THIS IS BAD WHAT IS THIS I WANT THE OLD ONE BACK" together with the usual bad reviews."

It's awful, but I guess it makes sense. ONLY THAT ONE POINT.
The rest, I agreed.

and Bubbles, FYR, I think some of the restaurants he helped actually went bankrupt every now and then. :(

Neko : Le gaspeh. Do you know where do you get those? I'm sorry. :(

Black Cat : Do you know that we're on a Mercury Retrograde? Idk if you believed on those things but...along with communications problems are also technological, and contract problems / confusion / misunderstandings. :(

====

As for me...

Warning : Bubbles, you might want to skip on this one..

I really don't get the hate on Bronies. Especially on Kotaku. Not a fan of MLP : FiM, but WHAT THE HELL.
Actually I get one vibe of it but it's really really sexist.

Because MLP IZ FOR GAALZ DOOODES.

What The
Druck.
Some made a semi-valid point about 'hey, liking a show designed for girls made them a bit pedobear, no?' but:
a) that's still sexist and prejudiced as hell, not to mention sending weird assumptions all across,
and b) What do you say about netorare tentacle orgy lolicon pettanko doujinshis? But noooo, they are sick as fuck, but they are sick as fuck for guys.

Okay, I might expect too much from the (assumed) worst of the nerd community, but.

I've been trying to but mostly cowardice has kept me quiet.

I'm worried mom'll get mad if I piss him off or she'll be worried/upset that he'll leave.

That and I'm a giant coward for not being able to handle stress like I should be able to. DX Gahh....

@Trefle: You... you do realize that that is like, the one guaranteed way to get me to read something, right? Right?

Also, I never watched F-Word for the restaurants, if you catch my drift.

@Trefle: I'm not huge into astrology, but hell, any explanation for this horse crap is better than none.

I'll be honest, my days have not been going well, even without the communication issues tucking things up. My grandfather has been very sick for the past couple of weeks and he was recently hospitalized. His liver and kidneys are failing and I'm really afraid he's going to die soon. Worst of all, my family has gone up to visit him but my mom says that I don't need to come up and is putting a better face on things than there actually is. Three of my cousins were told the same from their mom, who is my mom's youngest sister. I'm afraid I won't get to see or talk to my grandpa one last time.
