And so the other girl we saw during Temperance's walk is Marie. Wonder if we've seen Uri with the other unnamed roommates or if he'll be a person we've never before seen.

If Tetris is how Michael gets his kicks above the waistline you might want to look elsewhere Marie. Unless he was just being hip the first time we met him.

Also, now that I think about it: I wish that my hair stayed as neat as comic-me's hair. Wind tends to make me look a bit like an anime character. >.>; He must be really focused on that game, too, to not notice her until he saw her finger.

Grew up when Tetris was new. Hated it then, never gave it a second chance. Sorry, that's how gamers are. Fortunately for the Tetris folks, I wasn't in the majority. I still don't understand the appeal of that game even as a solitaire substitute. The whole "make things fit" paradigm just didn't speak to me, I guess. Tempest came out around the same time (locally anyway), and Tetris was just too tame by comparison.

I never really cared for it, either, but I'm a spoiled youngin'.

As for all the new characters, I'm fine with it. Maybe it means Val will pop up again at some point, since we're seeing a couple other old-new characters. :D

I thought it was intentional. Like he was bored enough with the basic version of Tetris that he was playing some uber-difficult version of it.

I figured it was not Tetris because in Tetris, only one piece falls at the same time, and we see a three-square piece on the screen, while all pieces in regular Tetris are composed of exactly four squares. So with three things unlike the regular game, I thought by default it was just an insanely difficult game that only resembles Tetris.

Heck, I thought it was a metaphor for something, and went straight to the forum to see if any forumer (forumite?) has figured out what. Although I was expecting it to come up in-dialogue in the Wednesday comic.

Maybe he's not playing Tetris. Maybe he's debugging his own implementation of Tetris.

(I really want to preserve Michael's geek cred.)

^ Maybe he's using his phone to check a webcomic update in which a character is depicted as playing Tetris and he's zooming in on that panel to try and find out why the portrayal is so inaccurate, and in another tab has the webcomic's forum open as he tries to see if anyone could decipher what this inaccurate portrayal of Tetris could be a metaphor for?

:P Whoa, man. My mind.

Tetris helps me load buggies at work, no lie.

I don't mind all the new characters! (Especially since the three ladies in the last update were all in flashbacks, and thus not likely to show up any time again in the near future). The sooner T gets the old Trick-or-Reader winners out of the way, the sooner he gets round to running the contest again. I want my shot at being in the comic okaaaay?

Wait what

So...I've been thinking of you as "annoying straight or asexual guy" based on the sunshine comment.

I'm really sorry. Bropologies.

An ex-boyfriend/friend of mine worked for UPS for a short time and said that he often found himself with the theme in his head when loading trucks.

Oh, wow. Marie is... me! I'm glad I'm helpful. :)

also if i can get sentimental for a moment here, i just found out that my constant back pain is scoliosis today (really late diagnosis, i'm 22), so i really needed something positive to happen today and this was perfect timing. Thanks, T.

I just found myself seeking out browser-based Tetris games (since my emulators are at home.) T, I'm blaming you if I get addicted to Tetris in the near future. :P

Also, I hope comic-me won't be too stubborn to accept help from comic-you, Chesire.

So, Marie in the last panel is super sexy/beautiful/hot in my opinion.
