Slut-shaming comic characters: Y/N?

I've honestly never ever seen a moment where I thought slut-shaming is/was justified. Real life or comic-wise.

If Sara wants one night stands then I say she should totally go for it.

There's a difference between one night stands & acting rashly. Obviously Lisa isn't very good at sleeping around, either, as she was sent on a proverbial emotional rollercoaster from her first time hooking up in college.

Lisa acted rashly, very rashly, and I think that's why I'm not feeling much sympathy towards her, but if Sara wants a one night stand I say go for it.

Really? It didn't seem like a joke to me. I thought it was illustrating that Lisa had no idea what sorority they were about to enter.

I'm honestly a little disturbed at how much anti-straight I'm sensing in the forums right now. I may just be reading too much into things, but it almost makes me want to stop reading the comics, or at least maybe stop visiting the forums. I have more musings on this but due to time constraints and the possibilities of being completely misjudged no matter what I say (it happens on the internet), I shall stop here for now and wait for any reaction.

If you don't feel like going into it further I won't insist on it or anything, but I have to admit I'm not sure what you mean.

Half and half. Sara, you'll recall, was freaking out about the prospect of sororities discriminating against homosexuals. Lisa was pretty sure that sororities on this campus would be gay-friendly, so she did ask about LAZ's gay-friendliness in the most casual way possible, as if to tell Sara, "See? Nothing to worry about."

But just how gay-friendly it was did catch them both by surprise.

Y'know, I think I need to spend a little time thinking about what I mean. Maybe with a cooler head (because of the heatwave around here, not anything else). There's something that felt a little off, and I wanted to at least mention it before it got lost, even though it's not a fully formed thought. Thank you for your patience with my confusion. :)

Like Adri, I don't really understand your original comment, but I totally respect the need to take time with your thoughts and express it when you're ready.

Well, it's not quite anti-straight, but I'm surprised by how little reaction Artemisia's comments about being afraid of men and anti-men have gotten.

Maybe because I'm so likeable?

I kind of wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes to certain things. I am afraid of men. The last time a man touched me without permission, I was so scared and so afraid, I ran into the bathroom and locked myself in until I stopped shaking. I wouldn't say that I'm necessarily anti-straight so much as I find heterosexuality baffling, and can't understand how straight sex can be enjoyable. A few people here are probably aware of how bad I was a year ago on the PT boards. I was doing a lot of male-bashing because of my fears.

I even had Dave Zero 1 royally pissed off with me over some of what I said. As I got comfortable, I stopped being as bad about my comments, but I still tend to react to men more harshly or more negatively than I probably should.

Oh, that makes sense. I see it now. I picked up on the latter part (the surprise over how gay friendly it was) but not the former.
