Okay, I need to print that and put it on my desk, or SOMETHING. Really.

The Pistachios aren't hurting either. (A whole bag, just for me, and I don't even have to share.)

Now I want root beer. But I've already had two cans today and my dad says no more. D: Ah well, listening to "Funky Town" on repeat will get me through my mountain of English homework.

Today, I have discovered that there are only so many ways to say "I do not know how to answer this question, despite having looked" - and each time I have to fight to make sure I do not include the words "perhaps these questions are a tad ridiculous in how specific they are, especially since not every company is foolish enough to put things like 'the mission, vision, values, and major goals of the organization' out where anyone can see it." This management portfolio assignment is just aggravating enough that I'm seriously considering deliberately knocking myself out, just so it won't even give me bad dreams during that blessed period of escape that is unconsciousness... >.<

So those repairs to my car? Lasted just long enough for me to pay them off. They got brand new parts to replace the old ones and those just conked out on me yesterday. The people are coming to get it tomorrow and if they charge me to fix the repairs that THEY fucked up, I'm gonna be pissed.

(Also my dad's being a dick, but that's nothing new.)

Bleagh. I think I'm overworking myself.

Today was super stressful at work. Conflicting priorities. Put in an extra half hour and had to leave stuff undone anyway. Grabbed the first chance I've had in days to shop for groceries on the way home. Put all the stuff away when I came home, had dinner, unwound in front of the computer a bit and then realized too late I'd clean forgotten about an event I should have attended this night.

Maybe I should just go to bed.

Hope you can get rid of that stress, svenman.

This is a small thing, but it's just enough to make me wonder if we should have a "WTF-ery" thread: I'm actually watching the video sequences from the Night Trap video game. It's just so bad I can't look away, even though my brain is yelling at me to flee and save myself already. In fact, my brain is trying to escape out of my ear, it's that desperate to get away. x.x

G'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh...horrible headaches from hell on top of neck pains. DX Uggh...I don't know what to do cuz I don't want to tell my mom that I have this cuz I'm worried she'll either over react or I'll get the whole 'You are a Hypochondriac' speech.

Probably the second thing.

Sounds like you need a neck massage or a chiropractor.
There was a girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead, and when she was good, she was very, very good, and when she was bad she was homicidal.

Well I'm horrible at self massage and the one lady who does it is now asleep. DX

And I don't have any money for a chiropractor.

I do have some money but it probably wouldn't be enough and I don't get my next check until...May second.

Ain't I lucky, Arte? DX

:( Nice thing about living in Vermont is that I have insurance that will cover my doctor's visits, even for a chiropractor. In fact, on 9 May, I go see the G/I specialist to start finding out what's wrong with me. All visits right now cost me just $10. I wish you lived here. :(

DX Same here. I actually kinda wish I told my mom this today but it didn't feel this bad until like half an hour ago or so. I go to bed and it's somewhat fine.

I kinda think it's the pillow I'm using on top of allergies (I get sinus headaches and stuff) but I'm not sure just yet. DX

*Twitch* The word "chiropractor" sets all sorts of alarm-bells off in my head. There's basically two broad categories:

Category 1 are essentially really good massage therapists. This category is fine, if perhaps a bit overpriced for what they do. Still, a decent massage therapist can help alleviate back pain, and will also offer the 'soft touch' element of medical practice (ie, getting to know you and actually treating you as a person as well as a patient) that can be hard to get in traditional medicine.

Category 2 are quacks of the first order, who will tell you that chiropractic methods alone will cure cancer, AIDS and all sorts of other problems that their discipline couldn't hope to touch. If every last one of these charlatans were to die of painful stage 4 cancer tomorrow, I wouldn't shed a single tear for any of them.

A few hints that your chiropractor may be in Category 2:

1: He talks about "energy flows" (or worse, 'chi') as if they were a thing.
2: She has articles talking about the founder of chiropractic medicine on the wall, and speaks about him in laudatory terms.
3: The term "innate intelligence" comes up, ever.

One trick: Ask if chiropractic treatment has any risks or potential side-effects. If they say, "No," run, don't walk, for the door. If anyone attempts to stop you, curse at them loud and long until they let you pass, and tell them to shove any bill for the initial consultation up their backside until they can taste it.

Any treatment that is remotely medically effective runs the risk of having a negative effect. An honest practitioner will tell you that. The only way for a medical treatment to have no possible side-effects is for it to have no effects at all. (See also: Homeopathy.) In fact, asking the chiropractor about homeopathy and "the risks of vaccination" are also good tests. If the chiropractor dismisses homeopathy as quackery, and tells you the risks of vaccination are real but vastly overblown for the non-allergic, then they're on the road to being a trustworthy source. If, OTOH, they seem to find homeopathy acceptable, or talk about a vaccination/autism link, then make sure you spit on them as you leave.
