WAIT WAIT WAIT!

We've established that Marie's puzzle is about duality (or at least that's the explanation that seems to make the most sense).

So what if they are saying that they're twin-souled or non-binary identified gender queer? That's part of the Quiltbag spectrum that hasn't come up... we've got a trans woman but not someone who is non-binary.

Eh, we're still in the U's - the undecideds. My guess is it involves a THIRD choice involving gender, where most people see two. That would explain the guru's comment, as well as the pushback against true/false perceptions in the other quotes.

Non-Binary gender queer would be a third "choice"... neither male nor female.

That doesn't explain the googol, or "there are four lights." Besides, I'd kind of figured Bob was non-binary.

The "There are four lights" thing is about the denial of reality in the face of pressure from others.

The googol? No clue.

googol = impossibly massive number BeyYYYOOOND all COMPREHENSIOOOOON, "UNSTOPPABBBLLLE Force meets an UNMOVABBBLLLLE Object"-based reasoning. Long story short, I think it's meant to allude to the folly of sensationalist reasoning...Possibly.

"Really? That's actually working?"

"Yes, yes it is. No surprise. Look at the forum. The polls, the strip manips... These people have twisty, twisty minds. 'Bout time I put them to work. This could be the beginning of a whole new art form. I'll call it meta-post-modernism. Now, Alfred--"

I want you to know that reads like RPS. Jus' so's ya know.

First off, thanks for the kind responses, folks--sometimes, the notion hits you and five minutes later you're looking at a completed post with your nick attached and wondering how it got there.

Quoted LeBubbles specifically because I need to ask: What's RPS? Google led me to Wikipedia, which was was less than helpful.

Oh, come on! I figured someone else (in this case, Freemage) was going to ask, so I didn't. Bubbles, or someone else: What is it?

That would fit, including Bubbles' subsequent embarrassment. And I can see it, even if it wasn't the vibe I was going for at the time, so 'sall good.
