Near the bendy part of a bendy bus is a "fun" place to sit when it drives on a road with regular bumps at just the right speed, at least if you don't suffer from motion sickness. But I'm not sure what's funny about this particular one except that the parts don't have the same colour scheme?

So the computer I was running a remote session on lost its wireless connection, which for some reason made the message on the left pop up on my laptop. When I decided to take a screenshot, the one on the right appeared. It seems the last update made the warning messages much more informative than they used to be .



I have less crappy ways than NX to get a graphical user interface through a network (including good old "ssh -X -C"), but they're slower.

A reporter was doing a story on Kuwait before Desert Storm, and was dismayed to notice how the women had to walk several feet behind the men. When the same reporter came back after the conflict was over, he was startled to notice a major change. Women were now walking several feet in front of the men. He asked one woman he had spoken with before, "What prompted this change?"

The woman replied fearfully, "Land mines."

Slightly-amusing thing: It's been nearly four months since I put in my Robin Hood: Men In Tights DVD. (Wow, that long, really? That's gotta be some kinda record.) My player STILL remembers where I left off, and kindly played it beginning at that point.

While I haven't watched the show yet (too caught up in getting rid of roughly 75% of my old possessions), I did run across this little tribute, of sorts, to MLP:FiM. Makes me wonder, how much of the humor is like this, exactly? Because I could watch it, if it's occasionally nice and sardonic and/or dark, like the Something Positive example.
