I'm also a little confused about the juxtaposition of her open and accepting pals. At the end of the day Lisa doesn't care, but her snark can be offputting if you didn't know her better.
Hilary is secretly the mighty Galactus.
Nah. She's just Doctor Doom.

I don't know how much anyone should care about what the Internet says. Most of the time it's peripheral to the show's fandom ... unless she got in on a truly bottom-rung TV show that relies on TMZ and the like to keep interest in the show, most television personalities shrug off what gossip is going on.
If that's the case, Sara should be bailing ship, not continuing all of these furtive theatrics attempting to figure out who's who and what's what. No matter what high drama happens on the set and in the House, the editors have absolute power -- and if they need to, they'll paint her any way they want. If she never truly considered HOW badly the INTERNET would make her out to be after the show started airing combined with twitter-twapping from her enemies, this was a very poor choice.
High school drama ON THE INTERNET only gets worse when Gawker and Perez Hilton cares about the dirt.
TL; DR - THIS:

Yes, but Sara isn't "most television personalities." This is her showbiz debut; she's far from a seasoned professional actor who's heard it all before. Plus, when the show ends, she has to return home and face her classmates who, apart from her circle of friends, may be sufficiently stoked by the renewed rumours to make her life hell. Particularly if those rumours have gotten increasingly distorted, broken-telephone style, from the original video which was hurtful enough. Experienced celebrities, in contrast, live a rather sheltered life, generally socializing only with other celebrities who, being the constant target of gossip themselves, know better than to believe what some slimy blogger says.

Sara can't so easily quit the show before the taping is done. She signed a contract and could be--or, rather, her parents could be--sued for breach thereof. Even her being a minor may not give her a litigation-free out, because when Meighan found out, prior to the start of taping, that she was underage, she said she'd "clear it with legal." This suggests that, barring Meighan outright falsifying Sara's date of birth--which could easily be discovered and get her (Meighan) in big legal trouble, or at the least result in a "you'll never work in this town again" situation--the show's legal team already knows she's only seventeen and has simply dealt with it in their own way.
Bottom line: Sara can't quit the show prematurely without making things even worse.

You have some fair points, but cyberbullying and social networks have become so prevalent I don't know how much people will believe Internet rumors about a fellow classmate -- especially when there's some idea of "who's trashing who".
As for breach of contract, well, she's probably given carte blanche for her image to be used in advertisement, the program itself, and any marketing for the show for at least the duration of the program - and probably video rights in perpetuity, meaning she may get rehashed in future seasons. Yeesh.
I'm still leery of how the network executives from that meeting will take these twists and turns. Even successful shows have had their plug pulled for no particular reason, and with their video rights they could probably rehash "where are they now" even after throwing Sara et al out on the curb. She'll be on Inside Edition until she has gray hairs. You're right about the duration of the season, barring medical necessity - in which case there would have to be arbitration to get her out of the contract. (It's happened on the Real Word, for instance.) Since she seems to be the linchpin / everyman, that's not likely to happen.
Back on point, I have a pet theory. Sara, for being so stoic and thoughtful of "how reality TV works," was stamped as "the boring one" or "there's just not enough interest there," and so all of these temptations have arisen. (Why else would the producers suddenly throw the nasty witch-bully at her?) The more even-handed her response, the worse the staged drama will become - and if she continues, there's always post-production editing to make things seem racy. I don't see her winning, unless the show gets pulled.
Seriously.

I don't think so much Sara said something negative as she had a negative response to Hillary. By asking her to
leave and labelling her a bully, Hillary perceived Sara attacking her. Game on!
On another note, with this Sara-Hillary rivalry end up in a mud pit with bikinis?

The snatch snatchers poster was supposed to be stupid -- the point was to show how cruel and childish some of the reactions to the rumor would be.

Actually, the poster was stupid because it was Samantha's doing.

...which still is to show how cruel and childish some people would be. I mean, these two thoughts aren't mutually exclusive.

Hilary reminds me of Cyndi a little bit right now. It is not a good remembering.

All this talk about Sara "handling" the other cast mates and helping them improve makes me wonder if she has a future in directing.

You're on to something. Artistic creativity isn't Sara's thing (so far, that is), but she has a knack for substantial people skills important to most Director positions in a wide variety of professions.

Or a producer. They have to constantly stroke people's egos and appease stars and starlets. Meighan might want to keep an eye on Sara for other reasons than lust.
