I always had a vague idea but now I'm 98% sure and that'll be reflected in tonight's update.

I know that Helen's overall fate is still in Randy's hands, but am curious as to what the deal was with the badly-wrapped Christmas present she received in the holiday strip...if that can be revealed without spoiling anything?

The careless wrapping by itself was meant to tell you something.

How does this fit into the time-line back home? Is Cyndi bleeding all over the parking lot as this takes place or is she still campaigning?

At this point, it's a little bit after the parking lot assault. We'll catch up with Cyndi after "The New Reality" is finished.

Not sure if I should ask this here or in the Fans question thread, but is P&A-verse Di also homeschooled and just on Belleville High's lacrosse team, or is she an enrolled student there?
I know Helen's Randy's for the moment, but is she watching Sara's show? What does/would she think of her old friend as a reality star?
(Also...the archives are getting a bit hard to dip back into. The dropdown menu only goes back to Pre-History, and the archives page with all the fun summaries stops at Everybody Loves Duane.)

Di: A student, though still very much under her dad's thumb.
Helen: I don't know but if she is watching, and if her personality hasn't changed much since last we saw her, she'd probably be torn between pettiness and ego-boost-by-association.
Archives: Yes, you're right. Well past time I looked into that... will put it on my to-do list for the week.

When Rich finally speaks to Sara, he says "I'm in...I'm startin' a new life." What was he going to say he was "in" before he stopped himself?

That's for your imagination.

In comic-time, are we heading towards graduation?

Most of the cast are juniors and it's nearing their summer break.
Funny you should ask, though.

Just wondering what year this is because threatening to contact the NSA would be a bigger threat in the Bush era than now.

I'm pretty sure you never, ever want to be a "person of interest" to a national security agency, no matter who is in the White House.

After Rich did his "Yeah, bitches!" V-sign thing, did he ride offstage and out the door by himself, or did Sara ride out with him? Not gonna lie, I was expecting (read: hoping for) the latter.
Also, while we know that the TV audience saw Rich's shtick (at least through the "Yeah, bitches" part), what did they see after that? Did the crew cut to commercials or the closing credits, or did Meighan or someone come onstage and do a "Heh heh, hope you enjoyed our little surprise" speech in an attempt to B.S. the audience?

After an interval signifying the end of the play, Rich took his bow and the other cast members awkwardly did the same. The show then cut off as scheduled, but the studio audience remained present while the actors went backstage. Any remaining doubts J'Cru and Lucy held about Sara's involvement with Rich's appearance quickly evaporated from observing their friendliness to each other.
Still, Rich left the way he came before things got too hot. He needn't have worried. Meighan immediately recognized the ratings dynamite she'd been handed, and knew the best way to exploit it was to give no comment, take no action, and let the fevered speculations take over.
