Because it's come up elsewhere ...
Are your and Gis' answers here to be considered canonical to the comic?

I think the work should stand on its own. Most of the readers don't even visit the forums once.

Is Karen having any plans right now that don't involve popularity or trying to keep the IG from turning on her? E.g. grades, family, etc.
Speaking of which, will we see more of Karen's family life? I'm not sure if these were asked before, so...

Karen doesn't really know what the next phase is, but she knows what she wants to avoid.
No.

Random site question: why does clicking next on 607 lead to 630?

Now it goes to 631 instead.
In the course of creating this comic, we've sometimes made updates by mistake or updates that we've later seen fit to remove (like Saturday product endorsements).

Giz- I've noticed a few changes in art style since the end of your vacation- but maybe that's just me making things up! So I've got a couple of questions...
1. Are you changing your style of drawing Karen? Her face seems more obviously heart-shaped than before.
2. Geez- how long does inking Sam's hair take you? It seems you've changed styles to put a bit more shine and slightly less detail into it, but there's still so many- swirly bits!

The subtle art change could be the fact that I'm no longer inking the strips. As of strip http://www.pennyandaggie.com/index.php?p=789, Jason Waltrip (wonderful artist on Fans) has been inking the pages. We'll make an announcement soon. We're doing this so I can increase my buffer substantially so I can work on other things too.
As for your questions...
1) I'm trying to find the right balance with her. I've had many comments lately where people thought she looked too thin.
2) Inking Sam's hair has always taken a long time. It's why I(we) experiment with it to see what might work best.

I like the heart-shape to Karen's face. It makes her look more like she did right after her make-over, as in, she still had the weight to her, but she knew how to work it to look good. It's always good to have characters like that, in my opinion, because it shows that you don't have to be omgskinny to be attractive. (I've always been underweight, so there's a natural bias against people like me because we're "part of the problem" behind anorexia, bulimia, chubby girls having low self-esteem issues, etc. So I'm totally up for showing that overweight girls can still be attractive. It makes girls feel good about themselves, AND it's a step toward people my weight being taken off of the villain list.) But it is a little confusing to see her go from looking like she's losing weight to gaining it again, 'specially when this is all in the same day.
Uh. That wasn't really a question, was it? ._.
Oh, there we go! I got a question mark in!
This counts a valid Q&A post now. X3

On that note, thank you to all three for having earlier updates. I for one have appreciated having them at what's a more reasonable time here in Eastern Time.

What's 'Meg' short for? Obviously my name is Megan and 'Meg' and 'Meggie' were my childhood nicknames (Along with 'Booger' and 'Mergatroid.' My Dad's sense of humor.), but I know it can also be short for 'Margaret.' Or if you're in Japan, 'Megumi.'

Oh, geez, so have I. I can get to bed earlier now. Jason's participation is part of the reason we can do this.
"Margaret."
