How big a hit is Sara's show so far? Is it one of the top-rated reality shows? Is it getting a lot of buzz on TMZ-like gossip sites? If someone mentions the name "Sara Velte" to your average media-savvy North American teenager, will he or she know who that is?

I'm a bit surprised it's airing at all. Don't most reality shows wrap the season (save for sometimes the season finale) before anything goes on air?

I've researched this a little more since then, though. There is no standard, but it's true that a lot of "drama-based" reality shows are wrapped some time before an episode airs, while "performance-based" shows (like, say, American Idol) are aired in something close to real time for the sake of voting. Hot Lights is a bit of a combination of the two.
