I'm also a little confused about the juxtaposition of her open and accepting pals. At the end of the day Lisa doesn't care, but her snark can be offputting if you didn't know her better.

Agreed. Plus, Lisa does speak her mind openly when friends do things that bother her, although sometimes in a less than direct and helpful way.

I wonder where along the spectrum Sara would place Aggie? I think she'd also belong on the "discriminating but still positive" side. Michelle would probably be another one for the "open and accepting" side, as she tends toward being the "eager to please" type.

Hilary was afraid that Sara was undermining her as director, and thus used feminine wiles to try to enlist Sara as an ally. That's how I see it, anyway.

It's Hilary being a bully and Sara picking up on it. Hilary's immediate reaction to not being the winner that time proves Sara was dead on. Not all bullies are like The Simpsons' Nelson Muntz, Calvin & Hobbes' Moe, or Encyclopedia Brown's Bugs Meany.

IRL, Bullies rarely resemble the big, dumb, homely palookas with few friends and little non-pugilistic power from the popular books, comics, movies, and cartoons we grew up on.

i'm ready to cry on the inside now. i really hope this turns out okay for sara, however i really do like the tension build-up in this arc.

Lucy's interruption makes it seem that maybe she isn't a plant after all. if she was would she really be messing with hilary's seduction scheme?

I think she's happy to be percieved as the bully. They can't make her look any worse and in her defense she does have to crack the whip because I've been in enough plays where the directors cut people too much slack and the production suffered. Moreover, the cast is a too perfect bunch of misfits with only one outstanding star. I can't say I'd behave like Hilary, but I'd be at my wit's end if I had to deal with the same.

And I'm guessing Sara was cast for the rumors. "She's supposed to be a seductress... and she's got a girlfriend... so we'll have her play Inez and throw temptation at her left and right till she finally begs for a taste! We're geniuses, ladies and gents! Cocktails for all!"

Kind of (maybe?) OT, but once again, I wonder if Charlotte will ever face any real consequences for that video. Reforming or not, she still maliciously tried to ruin someone's life. At the least, I hope she publishes a counter-video on YouTube saying that she was the one who did the video, and that she lied about it. Or something.

Poor Sara. I hope this turns out alright for her. Nothing can be sunshine and rainbows all of the time, but still ,she really doesn't deserve that.

Oh my god. Are we still going to pretend anyone takes the lesbian rape story seriously? It was an embarrassingly stupid idea when we first saw it, and it keeps coming back! Why?
