So maybe she should save it for the climax.

This is rather an abrupt jump in mood and plot from the last two strips. How ever did Sara go from nervous collapse and sobbing in Rich's arms, to "Mwahaha! I've got 'em all figured out! They're all playin' in my world now"?

Once she had a plan and had Rich as her ace in the hole, she had no reason to be crying any more. And we had to skip forward past his agreeing and her telling him what she needs him to do at the right moment because if we didn't she would fail. Since we didn't hear the plan, it will succeed. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UnspokenPlanGuarantee

This. *Nods* We saw Sara get the emotional outburst; we know that they would've spoken after that, but we're being very blatantly kept in the dark about what was said. Ergo, it was significant, and we should now watch as the pace steps up.

Warning to those whom this confused. I'm sensing Xanatos Speed-chess, if not a full-blown case of Xanatos Roulette coming, so you may want to go back and re-read the arc. It'll help keep all the players straight in the coming chaos.

Neutral Ok.

And I'm wondering...I'm probably waaaay out in left field here, though. But a fleeting thought that crossed my mind, is that perhaps all this reality-show stuff is going down a slight ways -before- the Cyndi incident, and it's all going to link together.
((Actually, I know who maimed Cyndi. It's all of T's fan's letting out their agression at the comic cliff-hangers. :3 ))

Not what I expected. Then again, I didn't even know what to expect. But this made me like this storyline a whole lot more. Also, it's starting to make a whole lot more sense. Bring on the drrrraaama!

Why does Sara say "You and I and Meighan are on the same side now"? I get that she's saying she and Martin now have an understanding (i.e. if he cooperates with her, she won't "out" him as a non-idiot to Hilary). But what is it that puts Meighan on her side? Her knowing that Sara's underage, maybe? And what about J'Cru, whom she implies was working with Martin to get at her? Is she going to do a "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" speech on him too? (Lucy, I'll leave aside because we don't know for sure yet that she's been faking her stupidity or, if she is, whether Sara's figured it out.)

I'm thinking this arc could use a SparkNotes...so confused... >_<

Meighan is producing a reality show. Drama is good for her business.

I think the jumpiness is in part the result of the P&A plus subscriptions... Maybe there's a text story or whatever that explains the transition

No, no there isn't.

No, no there isn't.

Goddammit. That was my main interest in ponying up for a subscription.

It's not that Meighan is 'on her side' as an ally. Rather, she's telling Martin, "We're going to be the stars of the show, now, by virtue of creating the drama Meighan wants from all of us."

You mean like "Rich, could you cheer me up by driving across the country to beat Cyndi with a lacrosse stick?"?

Or "Yes, Hillary I have just humiliated you. My bestest bud Cyndi would be so proud of me."?

Remember, the plants are planted by Meighan. And Meighan is probably watching this conversation since there are cameras in the room. The way these shows go is there's a big reveal in the final episode in which the hoaxers show the victims how they've been made to look like fools. It doesn't work if they find out too soon. Sara having figured it out disrupts Meighan's plans but Sara is offering to continue the hoax on Hillary so Meighan will still have a show.

But of course, there's more to what Sara intends than that... This is the spoken plan, and therefore it is not the true plan.

... well, at least it's a more sensible and much healthier reaction than breaking down into tears because people on reality TV aren't very genuine! *sob*
